esphr is a new-model employment law firm and employee relations (ER) technology business, helping HR professionals drive positive transformation throughout their organisations.
Having proved the concept that a disruptive law firm business model can work as can niche media relations to grow its profile, existing client Pete Byrne came to Scriba in 2019 with one campaign objective – utilise strategic PR to help expand esphr’s mid-market credentials and build the brand for future sale.

Having already established its name primarily via thought-leadership articles – which featured in key trade titles including theHRDirector, HR Magazine and People Management – the next step was to ramp up our comms activity.
To achieve this, we needed to introduce additional engagement channels to further drive talent acquisition, generate heightened demand, raise credibility, and attract collaborative partnerships to enable further mid-large market expansion.
Meeting with the team in London, we carefully mapped out how that might look – combining our regular drumbeat of media relations and insight-driven blog content with social media management, digital communications, hero asset creation, video scripting, awards submissions, and a website copy overhaul. We also brought #ESPLawLive to life – a mock tribunal event which had over 80 delegates from major brands attend.
