BeFibre continues network roll-out with summer roadshow of events

ISP BeFibre and sister altnet brand Digital Infrastructure is ploughing on with its next-generation full fibre roll-out, with a number of regional events planned over the summer.

The team is hitting the road over the coming weeks to get to the heart of communities in Bramley, Hyde, Ramsbottom, Worcester, Brentwood and Clacton-on-Sea.

Nine different indoor and outdoor events are planned, and while the focus will be showing exactly what difference BeFibre’s next-generation broadband can make to customers’ lives, there’ll be plenty of seasonal fun on offer in each location too.

Engineers are also due to move into Bamford, Whitworth, Hadfield, Hollingworth, Uppingham, Dinnington, Thornton, Clevelys, Clowne and Lutterworth imminently.

These are the latest locations to be revealed as part of the altnet’s ambitious goal to deliver FTTP connectivity to 80 towns and cities – and 1,000,000 properties – by 2027. This is made possible due to access to £100m of private investment from Basalt Infrastructure Partners.

With its first customer connected in Brentwood in May, and another resident announced as the lucky winner of 10-years’ free broadband, BeFibre now has approximately 14,000 homes ready for service – and counting.

Ongoing stakeholder dialogue is now focusing on strengthening community relationships and educating customers about the difference between FTTP and FTTC connectivity.

BeFibre is currently offering four broadband packages with speeds of up to 900Mbps. The fastest equates to the ability to upload 100 Instagram photos in 5 seconds, download a 1-hour TV programme in 7 seconds, 500 Spotify songs in 25 seconds, or an entire new-release PS5 game in only 14 minutes, for example – all without any buffering worries when trying to work efficiently from home.

“We’re not afraid to stand up and talk about why things need to change in this market,” said chief marketing communications officer, Rob Andrews. “We’re upgrading our customers’ worlds to deliver the fit-for-the-future connectivity they need, now. In terms of speed, customer service and reliability, this is broadband as it should be.”

Digital Infrastructure’s network is now live in areas including Brentwood, Clacton-on-Sea and Ingatestone.
