Junior footballers sign Scriba PR for the third season in a row
Scriba PR is proud to be the official sponsor of a promising junior football squad, in the agency’s hometown of Huddersfield – for the third time — with the company logo emblazoned on matchday shirts!
Linthwaite Under 9s – which was the Under 7s when Scriba first signed the dotted line — has grown to comprise two teams, the Leopards and the Lions, and plays six-a-side soccer in the Macron Huddersfield and Junior District Football League.
The squad has developed in strength, skills, and experience in recent months — swiftly climbing divisions — and practices their craft on both the artificial grass, and 4G pitches of their training ground, at Colne Valley High School.
Scriba’s sponsorship has paid for the club’s iconic black and white striped matchday kit – supplied by Surridge Sport.
Katie Mallinson, managing director of Scriba PR, said: “I grew up in Linthwaite, and our editorial excellence manager, Jenny Gibson’s son plays for the squad, so when the opportunity to support the Leopards and the Lions for another season presented itself, we couldn’t say no!
“We’re fans of any initiative that gets young children active and enthusiastic – and look forward to cheering the team on for many matches to come.”
The Linthwaite Under 9s team is coached and managed by parents Chris and Tracy Wilkins, Ash Taylor, and Paul Coverley.
Tracy Wilkins, team organiser, added: "We're delighted that Scriba is sponsoring us for another season. The players were so excited to receive their new shirts — with their trademark black and white stripes in a trendy brush stroke effect this time!
"Everywhere we play, we look like a confident and unified team, evidenced by the players’ behaviour both on and off the pitch."
