Costain, works on some of the UK’s largest engineering projects – creating and delivering pioneering solutions that transform the performance of the infrastructure ecosystem across the UK’s energy, water, transportation, and defence markets.
Following a successful role on the Decarbonised Gas Alliance’s UK roadshow – of which Costain’s Chris Barron is chair – Costain approached Scriba PR to provide ad-hoc communications support to help its busy press office.
Working alongside the natural resources and transportation leads, Scriba’s role is predominantly to draft detailed, complex case studies which focus on Costain’s ‘assured delivery, digitisation, and sustainability’ credentials.
Scriba is a safe pair of hands whenever our marketing division needs to outsource content – which can see the team producing anything from an incredibly complex case study to a social media strategy. We have such a trusted working relationship, they’re very much a part of our wider team
- Lydia Walker, marketing communications manager – natural resources division, Costain
To date, pieces have covered significant infrastructure projects for the defence sector, National Rail, HS2, EDF, and National Highways – focusing on value engineering, sustainability, behavioural science, and technical enablement, to name just a few.
As Costain grows, Scriba has also helped to uphold its brand identity, by adapting existing content into the firm’s overarching tone of voice – such as marketing material for its industrial cooling division, as well as defence positioning papers and staff profiles, known as ‘pen portraits’.
What’s more, to further bolster the industrial cooling team’s personal network, Scriba created a LinkedIn strategy for the brand and key individuals – which included profile audits, content templates, and ideation of hashtags.
Other work has included a trio of Energy Institute Awards, several insight articles for the website, and media relations support as needed.
